While looking at the
juvenile Curlew Sandpiper at Jaeger Rocks in Fort Erie, we saw this
very dark (black) Mink. Jeff Bowman (OMNR) has been doing some
interesting research. In southern Ontario, many are escaped
domesticated ranch-raised Mink. In Niagara, for instance, something
like 78% of all Mink show introgression with feral domesticated
