Luna Moth at Timmins, Ontario

This stunning Luna Moth was at the entrance to the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources hangar at Timmins Airport on 20 June 2012. Several staff said it had been there a few days. Unfortunately this moth only lives for about a week. Spots on the hindwings look like eyes.

It moved its tail around, sometimes vibrating it. Timmins Airport on 20 June 2012.

 Its usual pose was with hindwings folded underneath the forewings.
