Fall Colours on the Niagara River and a Gull

Janice Haines and I went looking for gulls on the Niagara River. Instead we found beautiful fall colours at the Whirlpool. 16 October 2012.

This was my first time seeing these brilliant colours at Niagara. Usually, when we come later in November the leaves have fallen.

Janice and I checked out the colours from both sides of the Whirlpool.

Only one gull of interest, possibly a Herring x Great Black-backed Gull hybrid, on the wall at Chippawa. 16 October 2012
