Western Tanager in  Durham Court Park in Oshawa

Western Tanager in a small park in Oshawa on 20 December 2012, where Otto Peter and Jim McKnight first found it on the Oshawa Christmas Bird Count on 16 December. It fed on European Buckthorn, which is scattered throughout this small woodlot. It also appeared to be going to a backyard with feeders.

A rare vagrant Western Tanager from the west put a smile on the faces of happy birders. 20 December 2012.
