Hermit Thrush at Dufferin Islands,
Niagara Falls, on 1 December 2014. When Eleanor Beagan and I went to
check the Tufted Titmice near the bridge at Dufferin Islands, we
spotted this Hermit Thrush running about on the grass and probing
into the soft earth. |
This Hermit Thrush is in first year
plumage, aged by the pale edges to the wing coverts. Note also
reddish tail. It lowered and raised its tail every so often when it
ran and stopped. Dufferin Islands, Niagara Falls, 1 December 2014.
