The Carden Alvar IBA - New Welcome Sign

This new welcome sign near the south end of Wylie Road was erected recently by The Couchiching Conservancy thanks to Ron Reid. Arni Stinnissen, David Homer and I contributed photos of specialty birds of the Carden Alvar, and Ginny Moore helped put up the sign.

Eleanor Beagan and I birded the Carden Alvar on 7 October 2016 and it was loaded with sparrows, including Vesper Sparrows.
