Dekay's Brownsnake inside House in Toronto

This Dekay's Brownsnake was downstairs inside our house on 11 April 2017. Most years one or two snakes get inside. We don't know where they come in, but fear that if not found soon enough, they will not get out. We also don't know whether it came in during the fall to hibernate for the winter.

Ron Pittaway picked it up and moved it outside where it could hide under leaves and brush. Toronto on 11 April 2017.
