Three Glaucous Gulls at Bluffers Park in Toronto

Three first cycle rested on the harbour ice at Bluffers Park in Toronto. They all have dark irises and a solid dark tip to the bill, signs of a first cycle plumage. Each bird looks different, showing individual variation. Click on LINK or photo above: Three Glaucous Gulls Video

 
 

First year Glaucous Gulls can become quite white like the individual above. Also note large size compared to a Ring-billed Gull beside it on left. 20 January 2018
