Red morph Eastern Screech-Owl on Woodland Trail was the same colour as the dead oak leaves of its camouflage. 11 May 2018.

This was an incredible composition of camouflage. The owl stayed all day in the same spot.

 

From most angles the red morph Eastern Screech-Owl was well hidden. We wondered if owls can see colour. 11 May 2018.

Hermit Thrush missing the right eye was at the picnic tables in Delauriers for four consecutive days. It peered with its good left eye and I watched it catch food in the grass. 17 May 2018
