Juvenile Marbled Godwit at Niagara Falls

This juvenile Marbled Godwit at Dufferin Islands, Niagara Falls, Ontario, is an amazing find in this busy park beside the Niagara River. It appears to be hungry and probably tired. I believe it is from the Prairie breeding population on its way to the southern east coast of the United States where it will winter. The James Bay population migrates southwest across continental Canada and the United States to winter around the Gulf of California in Mexico. This is a first record for Niagara. 14 August 2019.
