Four Lesser Black-backed Gulls in Barrie

Juvenile Lesser Black-backed Gull (1) on the beach at Centennial Park in Barrie. First there was one, then two, then three juveniles, and a fourth in third winter plumage flew in. 15 October 2016.

Lesser Black-backed (4) in third winter plumage on the beach at Centennial Park in Barrie on 15 October 2016. Many thanks to Bruce Mactavish and Declan Troy for input on the age of this gull. Bruce commented that it's hard to imagine a second winter bird with a tail so white.
