Kumlien's Iceland Gulls at Bluffers Park in Toronto

Adult Kumlien's Gull molting into breeding plumage. This gull has a very pale wingtips and a pale eye. It has a lot of glaucoides in it. Toronto is their wintering range. These gulls are totally at home and habituated to life on the waterfront at Bluffers Park.

Another adult almost molted into breeding plumage. It has grey pigmentation in the primaries. 28 March 2018. Soon it will migrate north to its Arctic breeding grounds.
