This beautiful adult male Snowy Owl is
on an open field planted with winter wheat near the new hospital in St. Catharines,
Ontario, where it has been for the last three weeks. 2 January 2013. It has tiny ear tufts - see link
below to article.
My photos were digiscoped from a public
road.
Aged as an adult male by its very white
appearance with faint barring on the breast, pure white back of the
head, and sparse dark markings overall.
