Presqu'ile Provincial Park - Shorebirds 1

The beaches are in great shape with algae to attract shorebirds. 7 September 2017.

 

Juvenile Semipalmated Plover at Presqu'ile Provincial Park taking shelter on 7 September 2017. There were about 150 all over the beaches.

VIDEO These juvenile Baird's Sandpipers and juvenile Sanderlings were feeding on the beaches, which now have copious amounts of algae. 7 September 2017. We saw 15 juvenile Baird's Sandpipers on the beaches.

650-700 shorebirds were feeding at Presqu'ile. It was a glorious sight. 7 September 2017.
