A flock of 66 Whimbrels was on the beach
at Wheatley Harbour for many hours. They were restless with
zugunruhe, flying often but returning to the same spot, until they
finally flew at 5:20 p.m. 22 May 2017. Wheatley is a favourite place
for Whimbrel to rest on northbound migration.. |
