This charismatic Yellow-browed Tody-Flycatcher was a favourite at Sandoval Lake Lodge. 3 November 2013

 

Blue-and-yellow Macaws at a macaw and parrot lick in Tambopata National Reserve near Sandoval Lake Lodge. Dead Mauritia Palm trees are rich in sodium, which macaws and parrots need to neutralize toxins from the fruit seeds they eat. They feed on the bark of prized palm trees early every morning. 3 November 2013.
