Glossy Ibis at Port Hope

First year Glossy Ibis in Port Hope on 28 November 2016. Based on a report from Gary Little, Margaret Bain posted it on Ontbirds on Saturday 26 November 2016. Local trail users had spotted it prior to Saturday but didn't know what it was and how rare it is.

Its plumage was iridescent with greens, browns and pinks when the sun shone. It was feeding actively, getting lots of food.

There appears to be a molt contrast between iridescent greenish feathers and brown juvenile primaries, tertials and some coverts.
