CAROLINA WREN VIDEO 1: We loved our Carolina Wren. It arrived in December 2018 and was perky and alert, bobbing like an American Dipper. 3 February 2019.

VIDEO 3: It also fed on the ground on suet that fell from the suet feeders above. It survived -24C temperatures. 30 January 2019.


Two American Crows fought so viciously I thought one would kill the other. They physically entangled for over 12 minutes, one holding the other down and not moving for minutes at a time. 3 February 2019.

VIDEO: Black (Pacific) Brant at Boundary Bay, British Columbia were so close to the viewing stand we could hear their vocalizations. The commentary is a gentleman called Rick who explained about the Brant.

For the first time on Amherst Island, Snowy Owls are encountering wind turbines. 2 January 2019.

A Red Fox showed up at our bird feeders in Toronto. It looks to be in great shape, but it was hungry and ate bits of suet that had fallen down from the feeder above. Toronto on 21 January 2019..


A Barred Owl perched at our feeders in Toronto on 14 January 2019. A squirrel climbed up to check out the sleepy owl, almost touching it.
