American Pipit at the Tip of Point Pelee was hunting prey on the tiny beach that remained. It focused on feeding. Everyone gave it space. 4 May 2018.

Louisiana Waterthrushes usually arrive earlier than Northern Waterthrushes.

 

This Northern Waterthrush was on the East Beach near the Tip where pools of water collected to form good habitat. 1 May 2018.

Male Prothonotary Warbler 4 May 2018.

 

This was a good year for Prothonotary Warblers and we hope they nest successfully in the park. The sloughs and woodlands were very wet in spring, however the dryness of summer could set in. 4 May 2018.

 

First summer Forster's Tern (year old - hatched last year). Most first year Forster's stay on the wintering grounds, but almost every year one shows up. Tip of Point Pelee on 16 May 2018.
