While sailing from Dyrholaey to the Westman
Islands we spotted between 12 and 16 Killer Whales and two
Humpbacks. We had fantastic views,
It was exciting to see the young volcanic island of Surtsey, which
formed after volcanic eruptions in 1963. It's an opportunity to
study how new plants, birds and other natural forms colonize the
island after an eruption.
